The state of Cape Verde is located on the islands of Cape Verde which are in the Atlantic Ocean. The archipelago consists of 5 small and 10 big islands. Climate is tropical. The average temperature fluctuates from + 22 °С to + 26 °С.
Cape Verde Islands were uninhabited until in 1456 Spaniards have landed there. Cape Verde became independent state only in 1975.
Nowadays Cape Verde is a presidential republic. The agrarian complex is well developed in the country. Cocoa-beans, bananas and sugar cane are grown for export. Also fishery is well developed. On islands there is a factory on producing of canned fish food.
The main remarkable sight here is the coastal underwater world.

Its origins are in Victorian times when children worked far from the house from a boy and the money earned by them were sent to the family budget. Only one day in a year children were allowed to spend together with parents. Usually they brought to mothers and grandmothers small gifts - bouquets of flowers or fresh eggs. Today British children give their mothers flowers and clean up the house.
