This is a republic placed in central part of Eurasia. It is washed by Caspian Sea. Bordered by China, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Russia.
The head of state is president.
Average temperature in the country’s northern part in January is near -18 °С. In July it’s over +19°С. In the south of the country it’s +30°С in July, -3°С in January. Kazakhstan’s land is rich with mineral products like coal, oil, natural gas, bauxites and others.
The population is occupied in raising crops, vegetables, rice, livestock sector (sheep, goats). Alma-Ata was a capital of Kazakhstan until 1998. Many places of interest are situated here. Wooden Zenkow’s cathedral, built without nails, Central public museum with a copy of “Golden man”. Golden man is a suit of warrior that consists of 4000 golden parts. “Aisha Bibi” is a mausoleum in Taraz and a place of muslim piligrimage. The unique “Singing dunes” are in Altin-Emey national park.
Tuzcol Lake is a medical mud well and Balkhash lake is one of the largest lakes in the world.
Main resorts are Kockshetau, Bajan-Aul, Mujaldi. Downhill skiing fans can visit Chimbulak and Medeo resorts.
