The republic Nicaragua is located in Central America. The western coast of the country is washed by the Pacific Ocean, and eastern by the Caribbean Sea. Climate is tropical. The mid-annual temperature fluctuates from +24 °С to +28 °С.
Indians are the aborigines of this land. In 1522 Nicaragua was colonized by Spain.
Nowadays Nicaragua is a presidential republic. The country is divided into 16 administrative departments. The basic part of the population is engaged in agriculture. The export cultures are cotton, coffee and sugar cane. The industry in the country is developed badly.
In Managua there are museums, national theatre «Ruben Dario», the National Palace. Among tourists such sights as prehistoric rock paintings and the cathedrals executed in colonial style are very popular.
