The republic of Philippines is located in the southeastern part of Asia on the islands of the Philippine and Malayan archipelagoes in the western part of the Pacific Ocean. There are about 7100 islands in the country structure. The head of state is the president.
The mid-annual temperature is +27 °С but in highlands it is near +17 °С. Torrential rains in country territory are usual for the period from May till November.
The country is characterized as seismic active area. Earthquakes here are frequent and also there are about twenty active volcanoes.
