The republic of Singapore is situated in the South East Asia, on the island of Singapore and numerous coastal islands, at a southern part of Malay Peninsula.
The political system is presidential republic. Singapore is the country, the island, and the city.
The mid-annual temperature fluctuates from +26 °С to +30 °С. The periods between October and November and between April and May are considered the seasons of rains.
Singapore is the country with well developed economy. The prevailed branches are radio-electronic, ship-building, aviabuilding, etc. On islands people are engaged in cultivation of tobacco, vegetables, coconut palm trees and also fishery and a sea craft.
There are many sights here like the Impress Place Buikding, Catholic cathedral of Good Sheferd, the National museum on Stemford Road, the set of skyscrapers (Singapore-Lend-Tower) and the Singapore zoo.
In the Dzhurong area there is a Museum of Fish and the park of reptiles. The island Sentosa is one of the cultural-entertaining centers of the country where there is the largest oceanarium in Southeast Asia with the transparent underwater tunnel. In the country there are many shopping centers, hotels, restaurants.
