Jijona, the small village in the hills outside Alicanti, is a heaven for property fraudsters. Carmen Starzonek a German citizen sells other peoples property from a small finca outside Jijona, surrounded by gaurd dogs. The befriend older buyers with the language and red tape of Spanish property laws and takes deposits from these people, sometimes 10.000 euros or more. When the victims ask for their money back they are met with violence and then denials. Stay away from this town.
