Cardiff is the capital and largest city of Wales. Located on the south coast of the country it is administered as a unitary authority. It is in the historic county of Glamorgan. Today, it is the 14th(2001) or 10th(2007) largest city in the United Kingdom and part of the Eurocities network of the largest European cities Cardiff Urban Area covers a slightly larger area, including Dinas Powys, Penarth and Radyr.
