On February, 15th, 1989 last Soviet soldier has passed the bridge of the boundary river Amu Darya near Termez. War in Afghanistan has lasted for nine years, one month and eighteen days. Over fifteen thousand soldiers were lost in the foreign lands, six thousand have died subsequently from wounds and illnesses, 311 persons were missing.
