Historical Hotel Circa 1459 retaining many original features with 46 bedrooms- 1 restaurants- 2 Bars and guest lounges. Ideal tourist location- central to Norfolk- Suffolk- Cambridgeshire. Very friendly atmosphere. Conferencing- Banqueting- Weddings- 4 Function Rooms- Meetings. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms- TV- coffee tea making facilities- Irons ironing boards. The Bell is recognized as one of the most haunted hotels in England it has featured in TV programs relating to the supernatural. Ghost sightings only occur in the old parts of the building so if you have a nervous disposition it pays to request that your room is not in this area. One of the Bell Hotels claims to fame is that it was the home to actors BBC crew while making the Dads Army series- the Dads Army Museum is situated just 20 minutes from Thetford at Bresingham where there is a Steam Museum.
